Phone Scams
Personal security and protecting your personal information is important. You should never provide any personal information over the phone. Access Community Health has many reasons to call you about your health and wellbeing, but we will never ask you for personal information such as bank account numbers, Community Service Card number or passwords over the phone. We will always identify that we are from Access and the reason we are calling you.
If anyone calls you asking you to divulge personal information please ensure you take special precautions such as:
- Ask their name and the reason for their call.
- Ask for a number you can call them back on. Is this the normal number you would use to contact Access?
- Hang up and call the number you would usually use to call Access and ask them if anyone has made contact with you.
Unfortunately, during these unsettling times scammers may try to take advantage of this situation. If you have any concerns whatsoever please call us on 0800 284 663 to verify any request for information. Our team will be very happy to answer your queries.
