Disability services and support

We provide hauora support for daily living, community activities, respite services, planning, Individualised Funding (IF) and whānau support for tāngata whaikaha, disabled people. Dedicated to respecting mana, fostering self-determination and working in partnership, we strive for a future where all disabled people can live a better day, every day.

Disability support throughout New Zealand

Supporting your aspirations and those of your whānau and empowering you to live the life you choose is our priority.  Guided by the principles of Enabling Good Lives (EGL), we provide flexible disability support that puts you in control, offering the choice and information you need to make decisions that align with your goals.

Our focus is on what matters most to you, advocating for your rights and respecting your culture, dignity, and self-determination. If you choose Individualised Funding, our expert Kaimanaaki | Navigators journey alongside you, ensuring you have what you need to make informed choices.

We offer a full range of disability supports, including specialised nursing and complex needs management, with nurses and support workers who provide 24-hour care if required.

Getting funding for disability services 

Our services are free if your needs are approved for government funded disability support services, including the option of Individualised Funding (IF).  You can also opt to pay privately, or use a combination of funding options.  Contact us for help to access funded disability services.

Respite Care

Take a break with confidence that your loved one is cared for.  Breaks benefit your health and wellbeing, giving you time to recharge and refresh and can be positive for your loved one too.  We will discuss with you how this can work and understand that not all respite is alike.

Individualised Funding

Individualised Funding (IF) and Personal Budgets are Ministry of Health funded services.  If you are eligible for these supports, you have the flexibility and control to manage your funding and to employ support workers you choose.

How to get a referral

Ask for a referral to Access from your nurse or GP, Te Whatu Ora | Health New Zealand or your local Needs Assessment and Service Coordinator (NASC). Or you can refer yourself and we can help you with the next steps.
