This year’s theme speaks to the unique regional traditions and the power of unity. It reminds us that while Matariki is celebrated across Aotearoa in many ways, at its heart it is a shared time to reflect, renew and reconnect. In the spirit of kotahitanga (togetherness) and kaitiakitanga (guardianship), we’ve chosen to honour our connection with you through Trees that Count – the largest network of native tree planting projects in Aotearoa. With that in mind and as a token of appreciation for the many connections we are fortunate to have, we have donated to Aotearoa’s largest network of tree planting projects this year, our collective impact is below.
